Privacy policy

We collect information you submit, including your name, email address, password credentials in protected form, profile biography, location, categories, availability, pricing, photos, videos, portfolio items, booking details, event addresses, messages, reviews, dispute evidence, support requests, notification preferences, payout details, and deletion or safety reports.

When you select media, Gigxy requests photo-library access so you can choose specific photos or videos for a profile image, performer gallery, booking attachment, or dispute evidence. Gigxy does not use this permission to browse or upload unrelated library content.

We may collect device and app identifiers, push-notification tokens, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, browser and device type, app version, crash and performance data, login activity, referral source, and interactions with Gigxy. We use this data to operate the service, protect accounts, diagnose problems, and understand feature performance.

Precise event or profile locations are collected only when you enter or select them for a Gigxy feature. We do not use background location tracking.

We use information to create and authenticate accounts; display performer profiles; enable search, bookings, messaging, reviews, disputes, payments, refunds, and payouts; send service and security notices; provide support; personalize the experience; prevent fraud and abuse; moderate user content; enforce our Terms; and comply with law.

Where required, we rely on your consent for optional communications and device permissions. We use contractual necessity to provide requested services, legitimate interests to secure and improve Gigxy, and legal obligations for financial, tax, fraud-prevention, and dispute records.

Public performer profile fields and approved gallery content are visible to Gigxy users and visitors as indicated in the app. Booking participants can see the details and messages needed to manage their booking.

We share limited information with service providers that host data and media, process payments, deliver email and push notifications, provide analytics and error monitoring, support identity or fraud checks, and help us operate Gigxy. They may process information only for the services they provide to us.

We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the public, to investigate fraud or abuse, or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale with appropriate safeguards. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We retain information while your account is active and as needed to provide Gigxy. When you delete your account, we remove login credentials, direct profile identifiers, public performer content, uploaded profile media references, device tokens, and direct messages associated with the account from active systems.

We may retain limited transaction, escrow, payout, tax, fraud-prevention, safety, and dispute records where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. These records are access-restricted and no longer used to provide a public profile.

Backups are overwritten on a scheduled cycle. De-identified or aggregated information that cannot reasonably identify you may be retained for analytics and service integrity.

You can update profile information and notification preferences in the app, revoke photo or notification access in device settings, report content, block users, and permanently delete your account from Profile, Account & Security.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information, and to withdraw consent. Contact gigxy@gigxyllc.com from your account email to make a request. We may verify your identity before responding.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including encrypted transport, protected credentials, access controls, and monitoring. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Gigxy is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; contact us if you believe a child has provided it.

Information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use contractual and legal safeguards for international transfers.

We may update this policy when our practices, services, or legal obligations change. We will provide notice of material changes through the app, email, or this page where required.
